I am actually very light handed with tape. I tape the top of the top loader, then the top loader to a piece of paper so it doesn't move around, and the corners of the envelope.
Love me some CC.
I run a piece over the top loader, and a couple strips in the envelope flap to keep it closed

That is not light. :P
Just put one piece on the top loader to keep the kard in and water out, and tape it to the envelope with 1-2 pieces just in case the machine eats it.
4 half inch pieces of tape is light. It's literal to keep the top loader from going throw the sides of the envelope. Zero effort to open and you unfold the paper to get to your cards..

I got a package from someone recently (we wont point fingers) that had every edge of the envelope taped and every possible avenue of easy entry was blocked by more tape...
Time to get in: 7 1/2 minutes of effort to open without damaging any of the contents...
I've gotten packages like that and I've sent up taped up letters due to rainy weather/cheap envelopes.
Use a letter opener noobs.
Or pocket knife
The paper isn't taped to the envelope lol. The envelope is taped shut. The paper is just to keep it from sliding around. If you open the letter, the paper will come out easily, the you just unfold it.

Sharpen your tools
Then there are people who just send a card in an envelope

I cut an appropriate sized piece of cardboard the size(ish) of the envelope so it wouldn't get bent. Made it there fine. Now I have the mailer thingies thanks to other people. xD

I did the same thing. Made a top loader out of cardboard and taped it closed.

Exactly what I do when shipping TCGplayer orders.

Won't point fingers, but some people on this forum must drip easily 3 to 4$ in tape on a shipping. I once got a package I literally thought was made out of tape instead of an envelope.
That person must have really cared:)
It confuses me that people are complaining about too much tape. Like, would you rather too much tape or not enough?

I laughed TOO hard at this.
