This. Playmats are rubber. Irons are hot.
That's what I thought. Someone told me to do that and I didn't think that was a good idea.

Perhaps try hanging it in the bathroom while you have a hot shower or bath. Steam it.

If you put a towel over it then iron it lightly then it'll work.

Only iron it if you are alright with the thought that you might destroy your playmat

This seems possible but I still wouldn't touch an iron to my mat. It's starting to get a kind of riffle on the edge but that's better than a melted playmat.
