I've had a ton of success with this deck top 8ing the 2 PPTQs that I went to with it. It's a fun deck and control = awesome!!
What do you use {Soulfire Grandmaster} for? The second ability? What do you board it in against?
Soulfire is for 2 matches:
MonoRed as an early lifelink blocker that trades with their early creatures
And Control Mirror it's an early threat that they can't deal with easily bc they side out removal. Also late game it becomes an awesome creature that buys back your counterspells and digs

In a control mirror buy backing negate feels AH MAY ZING!!!
