no one wanted to practice. No one wanted to actually work on anything. So why am I gonna drive an hour one way to meet up with the vocalist every week to try to get stuff done. I'm gonna start in new band in my town
Oh boo :\ well cheers to new beginnings!?
I'm bummed cause the music was fun, and the vocalist is awesome. But now I get to go the direction I want and keep it closer to home.

Well would he be willing to to do the one hour trip to you? Im guessing you thought of this already
With his work schedule, it isn't possible. I already tried. I get out at 4.30pm, so it wasn't a time issue for me to drive up after work. But I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 30 gallon tank. And gas in my area is about 2.65/gallon. It's expensive for me to go up, especially when no progress is being made. When we were actively playing shows with national bands, and writing the new album, the cost was justified.
Will the album still be released? I may buy it if so
Keep creating on your own
Different genre but I have the feels. I've been writing hip-hop/rap music for the better part of 3 years, and a couple of my buddies and I were getting together and having flow sessions and brainstorming for collabs but it died down recently. Honestly I just feel like nobody I was working with had the same mentality as me when it came to our lyrics. I like to write about real .poo., and get complex with my word choices, but some of my friends just did whatever. I've been wanting to branch out on my own, but it's hard without support.

It wasn't even finished writing. The first album is on ITunes and is also on Pandora. (Band name Chernobog)
If you need a drummer dude. I'm there
Fairfield CA?
That's an hour drive each way, plus $5 bridge toll.

I know, but to create amazing music with an amazing guitarist and not to mention a fellow mtg brother is worth me driving to Fairfield. No matter the cost
...have you heard my work?
Haha I'm assuming just Chernobog?

Yep but hey I'm a death metal drummer. So I think we can create something special
My next project is more along the industrial level. Still heavy emphasis on guitar, but kinda a mix of Deadstar Assembly, NIN, Apoptygma Berzerk, and my guitar work

Sounds like fun. I'm down
Full disclosure, there is another drummer in the running. He lives in the same town as me, and he was the drummer from my first band.

Oh nice man. So u already got history with the guy.
I quit the band cause they wanted to go in a drastically different direction than me

Oh damn I hate it when that happens
It worked out. I formed a new band, played a show with Zetro from Exodus, and then joined Chernobog, and got to play with Motogrator, Soil, Sunflower Dead, and HEDpe. They continued on, and played with several nationals, including Psychostick, The Bunny The Bear, and a sold out show with Puddle of Mudd. We all grew as musicians, learned more about the business side, and what we want in fellow members, and all the bad blood resolved itself
