Mogis real 100 cards, 0 sideboard 1 {Mogis, God of Slaughter} 11 {Mountain} 1 {Graven Cairns} 1 {Temple of the False God} 1 {Bloodfell Caves} 1 {Tainted Peak} 1 {Blood Crypt} 1 {Wooded Foothills} 1 {Urborg Volcano} 12 {Snow-Covered Swamp} 1 {Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx} 1 {Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth} 1 {Blood Crypt} 1 {Rakdos Guildgate} 1 {Bloodstained Mire} 1 {Polluted Delta} 36 lands 1 {Crater Hellion} 1 {Balefire Dragon} 1 {Maralen of the Mornsong} 3 creatures 1 {Kindle the Carnage} 1 {Extinguish All Hope} 1 {Vicious Shadows} 1 {Pestilence} 1 {Rakdos Signet} 1 {Bloodchief Ascension} 1 {Dictate of the Twin Gods} 1 {Smoke} 1 {Price of Glory} 1 {Ancient Runes} 1 {Furnace of Rath} 1 {Leyline of Punishment} 1 {Sulfuric Vortex} 1 {Manabarbs} 1 {Citadel of Pain} 1 {Obliterate} 1 {Painful Quandary} 1 {Decree of Pain} 1 {Spiteful Visions} 1 {Underworld Dreams} 1 {Palace Siege} 1 {Void} 1 {No Mercy} 1 {Tainted Æther} 1 {Chain Reaction} 1 {Stranglehold} 1 {Burning Sands} 1 {Gratuitous Violence} 1 {Mutilate} 1 {Praetor's Grasp} 1 {Killing Wave} 1 {Mizzium Mortars} 1 {Exquisite Blood} 1 {Ankh of Mishra} 1 {Whip of Erebos} 1 {Last Laugh} 1 {Night Dealings} 1 {Planar Void} 1 {Price of Knowledge} 1 {Possibility Storm} 1 {Uphill Battle} 1 {Blood Moon} 1 {Spellshock} 1 {Pyrohemia} 1 {Repercussion} 1 {Havoc Festival} 1 {Rivalry} 1 {Jokulhaups} 1 {Bottomless Pit} 1 {Wound Reflection} 1 {Vandalblast} 1 {Necropotence} 1 {Phyrexian Arena} 1 {Choice of Damnations} 1 {Spreading Plague} 1 {Æther Flash} 1 {Death Pits of Rath} 1 {Damnation} 1 {Gild} 1 {Blasphemous Act} 60 other spells Sideboard Notes: This is my Mogis "Punisher" EDH. One of the color-pie weaknesses of Black/Red is its near absolute inability to interact with enchantments. This list plays off that by playing about 40 of them that stick around through creature sweepers. This strains most deck's removal while providing lasting devotion to Mogis. My absolute favorite thing to do is slam an {Obliterate} or {Jokhulops} and watching as people slowly realize that it doesn't blow up any of the 4 or 5 horrifying enchantments that I played the previous turns or my Commander. Also I don't much care for tutors. Or instants apparently. This whole deck is pretty much sorcery speed, yet it keeps up surprisingly well with most decks I play against with my friends. And can take down 5 or 6 person games on occasion. There are numerous 2 card "soft locks" {Death Pits of Rath} + {Æther flash} {Maralen of the Mornsong} + {Stranglehold} {Smoke} + {Uphill Battle} {Wound Reflection} + {Havoc Festival} Other Allstars include: {Tainted Æther} {Spreading Plague} {Burning Sands} {Vicious Shadows} {Last Laugh} -> (Mogis is often the last one laughing after Pestilence effects wipe the board) {Bloodchief Ascencion} Hope you guys dig it. |

If you run {Bloodchief Ascension}, then you should also run {Mindcrank}.
As soon as they get into a situation where they cant make an offering to Mogis, he becomes a jealous god and uses his instruments of destruction to immediately kill them!!
Quote from: Munchlax on April 16, 2015, 12:27:54 PMTrust me, this is my friend who plays with our meta. The deck punishes pretty much every deck, and if they don't have creatures dwindles their life totals very quickly. Also, once mogis is active, it's a 3 turn clock if they can't block, as 7x3 is convinently 21 commander damage.
This deck seems really dependant on the opponent having a creature or two on board

Quote from: MommaB on April 17, 2015, 05:12:40 PMHe means when Mogis is active as a creature. 3 attacks with him as a creature is game over for someoneQuote from: JordanCirk on April 16, 2015, 01:59:54 PMQuote from: Munchlax on April 16, 2015, 12:27:54 PMTrust me, this is my friend who plays with our meta. 104.3j (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=104.3j): In a Commander game, a player that's been dealt 21 or more combat damage by the same commander over the course of the game loses the game. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704. Also see rule 903.14.)
Mogis tigger doesn't cause commander damage

How do you deal with such a high mana curve?
Quote from: Bop on April 22, 2015, 01:52:36 AMI've been thinking about it a bit, and I feel like {Erebos, God of the Dead} Should be in here. He's a card draw engine that asides from necro, you really need, plus the OPPONENTS can't gain life is better than you can't, so that your whip will still do work. Also cards like {Syphon Mind} that I've always been a fan of.
I've debated whether or not to put in {Rain of Gore} for quite some time. I have a modest amount of my own life gain running about that is already kind of shot in the foot by an equal number of "Can't gain life" cards... but I really can't resist the idea of {Collapsing Borders} with a {Rain of Gore} out.
