I would use brightsteel, or ullamog instead of colossus of Akros, but budget. I need help with making it more consistent. |

Why all the defenders? I'd probably just play RG ramp into a huge mana sink with cards like {explosive vegetation} and {cultivate} and the likes.
Quote from: Z5 on April 04, 2015, 06:35:23 PMThat would require you to defeat them with defenders.Quote from: Kaalia with haste on April 04, 2015, 06:24:39 PM1. Cards like {overgrown battlement} are unique and powerful.

2. Some (but not all) are great at blocking and dodge bolt and other burn
3. {Assault formation} creates great synergy with {wall of tanglecord} and {traproot kami}, while not the win stratagy, is very effective, attacking with a "6/6" on turn 3
4. The look on your oponents face when you defeat them with DEFENDERS!

Quote from: Kaalia with haste on April 05, 2015, 01:20:11 AMThanks. This makes much sense, because the might bolt/burn/path my mana walls, then I am screwed, but if I take the assault rought, my big creatures might just do it.
Fair enough, my still-lingering criticism aside, here are a few ideas that come to mind:
Not enough defenders. You want the tap for G for each defender you control to be more than 3-4 which is what I feel like this number can accomplish, I'd add some cheap defenders just to activate the mana walls for more.
Lack of ability to actually win. Your win conditions can both be easily removed, one dies to abrupt decay and the other to path. Assault formation seems far superior to colossus and I'd probably cut him and the devils play all together. Assault formation is a fine mana sink and you may even try a Nylea in here to grant trample. I'd also try running more enchantment based dig, commune with the gods is fine.
Just my 2 cents
