Title: Collected company question
Post by: Codester1991 on April 02, 2015, 08:23:22 PM
When casting {collected company} could I play 2 {courser of kruphix} with the card or would it have to be something like 1 {sylvan caryatid} and 1 {servant of the scale} ?

I believe it's 2 creatures that each have a cmc of 3 or less

It does not say "with a combined CMC of 3 or less". So as long as each creature has a cmc of 3 or less, you are good. So 2 coursers is a valid option.

That was my reasoning. If it was worded "combined converted mana cost" or "2 creatures with a total converted mana cost"

In contrast, {Protean Hulk} says " When Protean Hulk dies, search your library for any number of creature cards with total converted mana cost 6 or less and put them onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library."
He counts the total CMC, not the CMC of each card, allowing you to grab as many 0 CMC creatures as you like.
