Title: MtgFanatic concerns
Post by: cltrn81 on April 01, 2015, 08:11:33 AM
The mod group have seen a lot of users come through here and some users come back under different alias.  We feel MtgFanatic may be one of those users coming back under another name and could vary well be up to no good......ie, possibly intending to steal from users.

We ask that people use their best judgement and consider middleman service and/or ask him to send first.

I will let some of the other mods air out there concerns.   We will make everything known if it is just a suspicion or a fact.

First fact:  his second post and he could link cards, his third post and his extensive binder is uploaded, and before reaching ten posts, he could us more advanced functions like the {T} icon.

Suspicion:  I think that sounds very fishy given some of us mods believe this user to possibly be here under a different name.

Why is everyone concerned with me. What did I do? I'm not ripping anyone off. I'm not from Fresno im from Daly City. All I posted was a thread about some boxes I bought. I did try to set up a trade with rothstine but I was iffy on sending such high value cards through the mail. And I know how to do stuff like {T} and link my cards because I went through the app and saw how too, but if everyone is thinking I'm somebody I am not then I will leave this forum

The point of the thread isn't to exclude you from the forum. The mods just deemed it a possibility you may be someone else and are warning people to trade with caution, no one wants you to leave or be offended, but no one wants to lose their cards so the mods just are putting out a friendly warning

Not everyone is concerned with you. We are concerned with protecting the community. Some spidysense went off with some of the stuff with your actions. The main one I seen (this to answer what did you do) is you posted photo of stuff you recently acquired. All good great to get that stuff. You also posted photos making it look like those where your photos of the items. I happened to come across very similar photos (I personally believe they where the same photo but I do not have the time or resources to prove it). I posted a link to the person using the photos that looked like the boxes you posted. I explained what I seen and others to see. Then within an hour of my post the thread was deleted. I wanted to see if any mods may have deleted it before I went further. But it seems that you deleted it. Which to me is fishy. That is my answer to the what did you do.

Now it comes down to fight or flight. That is how human nature is. You seem to say you like this community and you learned stuff fast. So why are you so easy to just throw it all away and up and leave? ( rhetorical question ) if it was me I would easily prove that this stuff is mine with other photos instead of just deleting it. It was easy to post the first few photos so how hard would it be to post it on a local news paper or a paper with writing next to it with your name and date?

I'm just calling what I see. I can be very wrong too. I did this before with a guy then he posted videos of his collection.

Just like post a picture of your box with a apple next to it or something. Then we know it's yours, because I specifically asked for a apple picture.

Also another mod has done an Ip check and you matched up with sfgiants4life.

It's really about caution for other users. We've had people come back multiple times - like the ertai dude who used his sons name and had his "gf" come and trade on here too.
