Is it hard to play someone with a total language barrier? I'd imagine advanced combos become a pain

That was I was thinking.. Alt art Korean cards could pose a serious problem. They could be anything.

I live on a college campus that has Korean magic players living I. My dorm hall. They speak English fairly well, but I normally translate something via Google if I don't know the card.

What alternate art Korean cards are your referring to? Unless your talking about cards that have been altered on the secondary market, Wizards doesn't print different art for different languages except in very specific cases like the anime chandra.  All normal Korean cards have the same art as their English counterpart.

Are you sure? Because all the "alt arts" we're Japanese. http://archive.wizards.com/Magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/481

No Korean anime...
