Title: Getting my deck ready for GPQ
Post by: Dsx Cherno on March 26, 2015, 09:12:15 AM
I've been dry running it for hours now. It's averaging 40 damage in 6 turns. Worst run saw 20 dam in 9. Best saw 70 in 5. I think it might be ready.

Gold fishing decks doesn't do much unless you're actually playing against decks in the meta.

No one else in my group plays standard. I've played a few guys at my LGS, and it did well, but that was before I added DTK cards.

Maybe try testing it online with cockatricke, untap.in or Mtgo?

I don't have the income to sustain my MTG habit in physical and digital mediums. I'll check out those others. Idk if I'll have a chance to before the GPQ in Saturday though.

Untap. In is also free. It's what I use.

You said standard? I can test with you on untap.in

It was more in reference to MTGO. Which is better, untap or cockatrice? And can you guys take a look at my deck in standard, titled Bolster Beat down and tell me what you think, other than complaining about no fetches. Thank you guys

Untap is easier to use, cockatrice has better players.

Hmm. Decisions.

I'm assuming you mean Grand Prix Trial. GPs are open to the public. A GPT will award you byes at a GP, but theres no such thing as a Grand Prix Qualifier.

Untap for sure

Been testing my bug walker deck and I've lost only twice in game 3s only due to poor cards in hand and double mulls. Other than that, my deck keeps making people miserable

Definitely online test

A long time ago but it's been put back up. I use it but I will say the shuffler is terrible. Someone said they looked at the code for it and it's not really random at all. I often have to mull down to 3 because of no land hands in a 24 land deck.

I see... use Untap, then?

Untap is a bit hard to get the hang of but once you do it's easy

I have horrid "luck" on untap. I've had 7 then 5 land hands playing Affinity. Every time I test a new deck it's a miracle if I don't get a landless hand. Then again I'm pretty near as bad IRL.
