One who wishes to gain the most results out of their playtesting would do well to proxy the cards that are coming out in a week. If anything, you can see how it fits and determine if it is worth investing money for a playset. I consider any official card that is spoiled, another piece of the game, and as such, will play with proxies until the card is released. Many 5 color control players fudged out 1 season just because they were afraid to play with some Shards of Alara cards (a new block at the time). This is why Gabriel Nassif went on to win the pro tour that year. He experimented with {Cruel Ultimatum} and it payed off.

Preorders on Channel Fireball and eBay go for around $60 a playset. Thats $15 a piece. Its pretty bad when RDW becomes an expensive deck to play. All the more reason to proxy them a week before hand to see if they merit that price tag. Although after boosters have been cracked, and there are plenty in circulation (keep in mind its a rare), its price will go down. This card is good, but not almost as good as Snapcaster (only $5 more). I certainly dont foresee this as a Legacy staple either. So unless the top 8 of every GPT and PTQ is nothing but 5-6 Red decks, expect a price drop around a month to a month and a half after release.
How about legion loyalist. I have a friend playing almost simular deck.
