Hello!
I'm planning on building a second commander deck once I finish Tiny Leaders and Legacy, and I'm deciding what sort of deck.
My current thoughts are:
Sigarda Voltron
Memnarch Control
The Mimeoplasm Combo
Kruphix Ramp
Commanders I DON'T want to run:
Kaalia
Animar
Ghave
And the last thing is I'd prefer not to play Esper or pillow fort. That's what Oloro is for :P
VOTES:
Edric - 1
For power level give Edric a shot. He's who I play despite my name. A bunch of 1/1 fliers for 1 CMC are phyrexian arenas in that deck, then toss in some cheap counterspells that cost 2 or less. Add triumph of the hordes, beast master ascension and champion of lambholt and some fast mana. After that you're good to go.
Competetive or multiplayer? Combo or creature? Preferred color?

Hopefully not losing either category, but multiplayer. Either combo or creature, but not ridiculous fast combo. Color preferences is just not esper.
OP updated.

Edric is combo and creature ;) so good in 1v1 they banned him in French and ridiculously feared in multiplayer.
Also thinking of Kruphix ramp...
Or
Derevi.
Seriously though there's a lot of REALLY good primers and Decklists out there (if you want me to link some I can), and she's really strong. If you want a powerful deck UG is where you want to be, and Edric or Derevi are probably your best options, maybe The Mimeoplasm in there too. I don't think Kruphix accurately would portray the power of UG decks in the format.

Read a Mimeoplasm primer. I'm kind of in love :P
I think right now its Edric or Plasm.

I'd take a look at a derevi primer, either the one by Glix on tappedout.net or the one by Swift on mtgsalvation. She's pretty great.

My main issue with plasm is the fragility of it. People will run rest in peace if your deck gets out of hand. Edric supposedly loses to wrath of god but the only board wipe that can REALLY slow down Edric is supreme verdict. Note that I say slow down and not stop because nothing stops him.

Do you have a list? You make a good point with RIP.
Scion is the bomv
Scion is awesome. Made my sliver Broverlord drck instead because I though it would be fun to play against my friends slivers with my own lol. I say {sliver overlord} should be your next commander. Have a pretty good list if you want to take a look see, but there are probably better lists.
I know you said not Animar but creature AND combo makes him the best choice.
{Surrak Dragonclaw} can make your combo pieces uncounterable. Good general
{Alesha Who Smiles At Death} makes a good combo/synergistic general with ETB/LTB abilities. This is my cruel multiplayer deck.
{Riku something Reflection} is a good combo/control/value deck
{Zedruu the Greathearted} can be pure jank but is a wonderful multiplayer general
{Zur the Enchanter} gets hate But is a good combo general
Five colour {Enduring Ideal} combo is a wonderful deck. There's one on this site under Atogatog in the community deck spotlight
{Muzzio, Visionary Architect} is a combo general that gets really explosive turns
{Sharuum the Hegemon} is one of the best combo generals out there.
{Nekusar the Mindrazer} is rediculous. A really good deck
{Titania Protector of Argoth} ditches lands for dudes.
{Krenko Mob Boss} is a really good tribal/ combo deck
{Narset Enlightened Master} is obvious
{Tajic Blade of the Legion} aggro/infinite attack phases.
{Melek Izzet Paragon} is an all in storm deck
{Bruna, Light Alabastar} is Azorious enchants and instant commander kill
Those are all my favourite generals or just the best I've seen
Now it's a tossup between Zedruu, Mimeoplasm, Edric, and legacy :P

If you go Zedruu I have a lot of parts to a Zedruu deck

Here's what I play minus venser and sword of FaF, I'm working on getting those. It's pretty budget because it's a new deck, check out some primers or on reddit go to /r/competitiveedh and make a post asking about Edric. He has some crazy potential.
Oh and in that list bane of progress is reclamation sage now
But Zedruu is so much more fun in multiplayer

Zur enchantments for combat damage. If desired you can throw in some infinite combos. It also has great defense in a bunch of {propaganda}s
See: OLORO.
I'm leaning towards Zedruu .politics..

But it doesn't play like esper at all though. It plays like boggles
And Zedruu plays like nothing else

True, but his whole logic against zur was its color. How racist. ;)
And enchant, ente, which I play in oloro. And my brother plays zur (bad zur).
Guys? I found {joihra of the Ghitu}. I'm never going back.
Take a look at gfotis list.
Bumped it

Thanks! I'm focusing more on this list:
