Updated for DTK

2x sign in blood
1x sultai charm
Replaced w
2 anticipate
1x silumgars command
Dominating testing on untap with this
I run a list somewhat like this, and I run a one of {Interpret the Signs}. It's done so much work for me I've been thinking of bumping it up to a two of.
If only it was instant
That's been a huge thing for me is everything being instant if possible
Sign in blood did wonderful for me, but this blows it out the water for a t2 fix or have negate up
How's the singular Silumgar ( ;) ) treating you?
The charm is great if its not in my opening hand
Single silumgar allows me to cut a bile blight and have a very difficult body to remove unless they have a full wipe
I like having just enough creatures to chump/block if necessary. Had a single courser win me the game the other day through patience and locking my opponents board down
Pretty strong vs RDW builds, able to stabilize at 1-5 life in several games vs a burn/goblin deck
Courser has proven to be the best creature for this deck by far.
Kiora is wonderful vs midrange/GW manifest devotion, krakens basically say, go ahead and manifest all day.
Having trouble with BW warriors, mainly due to not having enough answers early enough. Usually having a t5 crux is necessary, need a very precise SB and hand start to ensure I don't go below 10 life by t5 for me
Could {feed the clan} be an option?
I prefer winds
Feed only allows a turn basically and id rather just fog all damage completely
Took out the deathdealers
Threw in 2 despises
Bw warriors is toughest matchup for sure with the new double strikers in the mix. Ulcerate cost too much life. Rather destroy hand early.
What are you sideboarding against rdw? Been playing this deck on cockatrice and losing every time against them
Well I think the addition of pharikas cure, winds of qal, negate have been solid in addition to cutting my larger spells for smaller removal. I think despise will help well also now that I've added it.
My strat is usually to have ashiok out and a courser to gain life, cut ugin or Garruk, and kiora. This is a tasigur and removal fight. Usually prefer to keep Garruk over ugin. Ashiok is key though as it presents a 2nd focus for the opponent. Most will be threatened by him and spend burn and attacks on him rather than you. This will allow you to draw your removal and have counters ready. Elspeth won't land, and the bigger burn spells won't hit you.
So readjusted this after alot of testing
This deck is solid
Feed the clan prevented two losses tonight. Took first.
3-0-1
2-0 Vs Sidisi whip, main boarding sultai charm makes this a much less stressful match
2-0 vs abzan midrange, kiora ultimated both games.
1-1-1 vs UB dragon control. Great player too, were we both undefeated at that point. Game 1 I mulled to 5 with a 3 5+ hand and 2 land. Proceeded to draw terribly while his hand hit the curve perfectly, so he won pretty much instantly game 1. Playing into counters and landing ashiok early won me game 2 by forcing mill. Game 3 was a draw, I believe I would have won as his hand was down to 1/2 cards and I had 2 counters and 2 removal + dig and a walker in hand. Garruk and tasigur on board with ashiok. Great game though even if it ended in draw
Final game vs opponent who got me really fast on game day. Game 1, turn 1 tz showed me a 1 land keeper, took his elf and ashiok on t3 proceeded to mill all of his land and big dragons. Made me very happy.
G2 he hit a perfect curve with rabble to bring me down fast as I kept a slow hand. He won it in 6 turns.
G3, despise and t 3 ashiok mill him hard, he gets me to a tight range, we battle removal and damage. down to 2 swings and I'm dead, one swing and he's dead, has a spare Carytid to chump and a thunderbreak regent.
He avoids ashiok to get me to 5, ashiok is at 7 now with DL atarka, I just used lili to tutor a feed the clan last turn, draw it. Pop ashiok for atarka. Pop feed the clan and gain 10. Back up to 15. Opponent scoops :)
Great final win. Spent my winnings and traded some cards to the shop for a DL silumgar, myth realized and thunderbreak regent prerelease promos.
Very good night for magic for me. I got two ultimate kiora in 2 games and also ultimate ugin to save me from death (went from 2-3 to 19 after two coursers drop with ugins ultimate and 6 lands. So sweet.
Feed the clan has been a great addition. The 5 life helps a turn or two vs burn and Aggro, saving enough to get the final mana or spell needed to fully stabilize.
So this new meta is a bit of pain for bug control, way more varieties of decks so the MB has been altered a bit, lili has been great Mb but I keep finding myself siding in certain cards like foul tongue. So instead of needing things for g2, decided to make the deck even more removal spell heavy.
New experiment to SB: arch fiend of drpravity, I think this well help vs most dragon/devotion/dork decks. Also serves as a large flying clock. I realize my deck has slow win cons and a limited number of them. Trying to increase that. Wish we had aetherling still
