So by "high quality proxy" do you mean he made pretty alternate art, so it's clearly not the real card but is nice to use? Or do you mean a forgery?

No, I mean high-quality cards.

I want to understand you.

They are not real magic cards from Wotc.

They look almost exactly like wotc cards.

Is that correct? Because if so those arnt proxies, those are forgeries, illegal here, illegal irl, and super skummy to make or distribute.

If I am off base let me know. TheProxyGuy on Twitter does cards that are obviously not real, altering nor making cards that are beautiful but impossible to pass off or play in tournaments. He is awesome and even he doesn't try to sell them for cash.

Does it have the magic back and trademarked art?  If so, selling is illegal, trading is on the border. I've done a ton of research into this.

The line on legal and illegal can get fuzzy (they have attempted to copyright the font on M15 forward) but yeah, copyrighted art is the easiest question. If it uses the normal magic art or is supposed to pass for it, illegal, full stop. If different art, then it gets into a grey area and pictures would be needed.

Since you didn't list pictures, I assume they look exactly like the normal cards, yes?
