Title: Any other tarantula keepers out there?
Post by: AstroGeek327 on March 05, 2015, 03:45:32 PM
I must know if any of you guys keep also! I'm still a total beginner, but I have a gorgeous female G. porteri, and if all goes well I'll be coming home with a new lovely lady today! :D

Yeah, my "lovely lady" turned out to be a Costa Rican Zebra with two deformed legs and a sore on her mandible x) I couldn't resist though, she was going to die....and she really is quite beautiful nonetheless.

Tarantulas are for wimps, my pet bird eating spider sleeps in the same bed as me

I had one, a pink toed rose hair. It was very approachable as it had been owned by another for some time (8yrs+), it was a lot of trust with it, eventually letting her crawl up to my elbow before I would guide her back down

I'm thinking about getting a pinkie but for sone reason I prefer burrowing or terrestrial ts, lol :3 and yeah, I don't LOVE it when mine go past my elbow, but the other day I was handling my Costa Rican Zebra to check his wounds, and the little bugger teleported to the top of my head and webbed in my hair x) he's so fast.....
