Went 3-2 with this in my first sanctioned Modern tournament Sunday! I've changed it since then, and I'm looking for additional advice. These were the changes:
- Took out 3x Spider Umbra and added 3x Gods Willing (seemed to really need extra protection, as far as Anger of the Gods and Pyroclasms go).
- Swapped 1x Wooded Bastion for 1x Wooded Foothills (for some reason it always ended up in my opening hand, and I would MUCH rather start off with a fetch).
- Added in an extra Dryad Arbor to the SB for match-ups with Lilianas or things that make me sack.
These were the decks I faced on Sunday:
1st match: Home Brew - Won
2nd match: Splinter Twin/Blue Moon - Lost
3rd match: Eggs - Won
4th match: R/B Rack - Won
5th match: R/G Tron - Lost

I've actually tried this before, but it gets clunky. I love the enchantment and the low cost; however, it's more efficient for me to equip a {Kor Spiritdancer} up during a match without much removal/counters instead of casting an {Alpha Authority} to save one and have it either {Path to Exile}d away in response or bounced, etc.
This is also why I added the {Gods Willing} to the main. They save my creatures and allow me to set up future plays instantly.
And gods willing is just awesome, ppl be like "Gods Willing?.......K."

Bahahahaha, I know! I tested it yesterday and someone goes "Path your Spiritdancer in response to attacks", and I was like "Gods Willing naming White? I'll Scry now....any other effects before damage?" LOL. Bro-face was not amused.
I also tried really hard to squeeze in Red, just for {Madcap Skills}; alas, I could not make it work.
I like the gods willing idea, with bogles it's not about living the next turn, it's about getting damage through to your opponent

Unfortunately, Red isn't in my colors; and a CMC of 3+ is really pushing it in this deck. I don't think anything I have is higher than 2 CMC, because if I'm not winning by the first 5-6 turns......it gets ugly, lol.
{Faith's Shield} may be slightly better than {Gods Willing} as it saves anything. Just throwing it out there.
I know you don't want 3 cmc cards but would you consider {Ajani, Caller of the Pride}?

I have; I actually ran him in my Naya Hexproof Standard build last season. I'm just afraid he won't be fast enough/efficient enough to be worth adding (although now I plan on testing with him some).
If I did add in a 3 CMC card, it would be into the sideboard.....it's called {Choke}, and it makes me laugh at Blue Mages.
