Also, no one will play against you. The card may not be banned but that doesn't mean people will allow you to play with them because it is generally considered to be banned

We have the list of bans from commander stickied. And no they are not the same.
For example, we cannot play {Braids, Cabel Minion} but vintage can.

It is not ok in commander. It is vintage banned so therefore edh banned
