Title: Epic experiment
Post by: Z5 on February 25, 2015, 10:57:11 PM
Say i cast {epic experiment} for 10, with it I find a {howl of the horde} because {epic experiment} is still resolving, can I target it with {howl of the horde}?

If so is the X in {epic experiment} rhe same in the copy as in the original.

EDIT: I now realize this wont work, but please replace every instance of hoth with {fork}

Here's what will happen: you'll choose what order you cast the spells and choose targets, then put them on the stack.  However, nothing will start to resolve until Epic Experiment has finished resolving and is off the stack.  While EE IS a legal target when you select your target, it is no longer on the stack when your Fork resolves, causing it to fizzle.  It's the same sort of thing when you use a {Misdirection} on a counter spell; it's a legal target when it's changed, but it causes the spell to fizzle since it's no longer there.

You can still use it to target other spells. Double {Searing Blaze} FTW!
