Hey guys, so i am working on a mono blue deck for a friend and ir has been having trouble with getting planeswalkers off the board. Any standard cards out there that might help, in blue?
{perilous vault}.
{Retraction Helix} and {Void Snare}. People are really undervaluing these cards in current standard. They let you take the risk of tapping out on your turn as you can just send whatever they cast back into their hand and counter it next turn. I highly recommend {Retraction Helix} if he's running enough creatures.
Also you /need/ at least one {Perilous Vault} main boarded in mono blue. {Mistcutter Hydra} will make a mess of you if you don't. I think I currently run one main board and two sideboard in my build.
Also a simple and timely {Negate} can do wonders!
Perilous vault is you best bet because most decks running planeswalkers in standard are creature heavy so you get value there as well.
