Title: Bile blight and morph
Post by: Kaylesh on February 19, 2015, 02:27:33 PM
I'm in doubt on this one.
Morphed and manifested creatures are 2/2 with no name, but how does this interact with {bile blight}?
Will all creatures with no name be affected if you target a face down creature?

Their name is morph creature or manifest creature

This is not correct. They have no name. If you {bile blight} one morph, it will have no effect on any other.

Just scoured the rules. I was wrong. Face down creatures are nameless

Dsx, we are happy to have you taking shots at rules and we do not wish for you to be discouraged, just take some time to look things up. We have all been wrong before, we just try to keep it to a minimum, that way if someone is mid game, the first response is the right one. :)

I'm not discouraged. I was told that Morph creatures take on the generic "Morph" name, much in the same way that tokens take on the generic name of whatever type of token they are. And since I never used a morph deck in any serious sense, It never came up again. I'm usually the most knowledgeable person in my group, and I thought I was right here. Sorry

This is basically the one downside to having the overlay reminder cards printed.  Just remind players that face-down creatures never have a name and you should be okay.
