Title: Emmy's eggs
Post by: Kaalia with haste on February 13, 2015, 09:36:39 AM
4 {chromatic sphere}
4 {chromatic star}
8 artifacts

4 {serum visions}
4 {gitaxian probe}
4 {soul summons}
4 {congregation at dawn}
4 {sleight of hand}
4 {faithless looting}
24 instants/sorceries

3 {flickerwisp}
2 {emrakul, the Aeons torn}
5 creatures

4 {mana confluence}
4 {city of brass}
4 {gemstone mine}
4 {breeding pool}
2 {steam vents}
1 {hallowed fountain}
23 lands

So here's the idea, get congregation at dawn + soul summons + can trip and put emrakul into play. How you ask? Cast congregation at dawn stack like this:
Flickerwisp
Emrakul
Whatever you want. Probably another flickerwisp in case you get disrupted.

Cast your can trip to draw flickerwisp, soul summons the top card of your library (emrakul)
Then cast flickerwisp to blink it and put emrakul in. You can do this over the course of 2 turns of course. The rest of the deck is just can trips to assemble to combo. Based off of a combo made my drain cleaner in the combo corner section. Yes I am aware this deck is terrible, and I built a poor shell around the combo I just thought it was funny.

aren't morph creatures considered tokens and if removed from game they're just gone?

Nope. Face down cards are still cards. If blinked, they enter the battlefield as whatever the face of the card is (as long as its actually a permanent)

Also, just an idea I was thinking of doing with my Emmy Tron deck. {riddle of lightning} using lilianna to tutor him to the top. 15 damage... Also if you have dictate of twin gods, 30 damage. Ramp it up with sylvans and birds of paradise

Cloud shift works well but besides flipping Emmy its kind of a dead card while you wait for something to happen. If this deck was built around the combo but a bit stabler with things like  {Path to Exile},  {Noble Hierarch}, and maybe some counter spells like  {Remand} Or  {Mana Leak} you can play the deck like a uwr control deck until it's time to combo off with counter spell back up.

Isn't {Cloudshift} just better than Flickerwisp in every way in this deck?

If I could congregation at dawn for it yes, sadly it is not a creature.
