Post by: Mattao19 on February 07, 2015, 10:34:25 AM
{Search For Tomorrow}

Say it has 1 time counter left and my opponent passes turn I forget and draw my card what happens?

Like for say Competitive REL

I'm pretty sure it's just a missed trigger and you have to wait till next turn.

In an event where rules are enforced this is a warning level infraction, both players. Your missed trigger and them for allowing a missed trigger. (Enforcement of rules using explanation from GP SLC)

Llama, at competitive REL, you are no longer required to maintain your opponents triggers.

"On a brighter note, it is never an infraction to not mention a triggered ability you don't control."

So when you miss a non-detrimental trigger, your opponent is given the option whether it should be placed on the stack on not assuming it's noticed relatively soon. If your opponent puts it on the stack, the remove a counter ability will happen right then and then the check for if it has none will happen. It will then be cast if the last time counter is removed. Now if your opponent declines to put the trigger on the stack, the ability will wait until your next upkeep to remove a time counter as normal.

This is all assuming competitive rel and not kitchen table magic.

So by this case, you can miss a suspended trigger, but if you are "forgetting" every turn on a suspended {living end}  until you want to pop its a game loss?

I mean, missing every turn, and then suddenly you remember it. I think it would be pretty obvious that this is not forgetting and instead cheating which does deserve at least a game loss...
