Hey guys,
So I've been playing Magic for quite some time now but just about a year ago or so I started to get into the whole "Competitive" Scene and this 2015 I'm planning to go into more competitive as I will be joining GP's, Open Series, Qualifiers and regardless if I win or lose I want to get better and see the more "MORE" competitive atmosphere. Well regardless I've been focusing a lot in Abzan going with Abzan Midrange, Abzan Whip, Abzan this, Abzan that -- point being that now I'm in Abzan Aggro...
I'm currently liking the idea and the look of the deck on PAPER, haven't used it literally but seemingly it seems pretty cool and good.
To start it off... Here's the Deck
http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/abzan-aggro-d/
I'm planning to use this deck till rotation hits and add stuff from Dragons of Tarkir and so on forth since I already added the Fate Reforged things I want to know what people think about the deck.
Pro's? Con's? Etc
Anything you can tell me to help the deck and myself would help a lot.
Take in consideration this deck will be the deck to compete in Standard GP's etc sooo its going to be my core deck.
Thank you for the help :D
You can not just hope one deck will be competitive forever. For all we know Abzan aggro might not be good if the meta shifts even before dragons comes out and let alone who knows yet if it will be viable. Right now I believe it is a good choice, but I recommend you Atleast be open to change to atleast a different abzan variant or another archetype altogher. When you start to become a high level player you will start to realize it is important to not be commited to one thing, but to the best thing. Look at Brad Nelson, he may win an open with a deck but that does not mean it can win the next one, he switches decks every weak. Also if you are going to be traveling that much for gps,etc you will also probably Need a modern deck and a good understanding of sealed formats.
-good luck
