iMtG Server: Gathering

Planeswalking Goodstuffs 15 cards, 0 sideboard 1 {Flooded Strand} 1 {Polluted Delta} 1 {Hallowed Fountain} 1 {Godless Shrine} 1 {Marsh Flats} 5 lands 4 {Sorin, Lord of Innistrad} 2 {Jace, Architect of Thought} 4 {Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver} 10 other spells Sideboard Notes: This is just a bit, I need help with the rest. The mana is just there for later use, not for any other reason.

How has {The Chain Veil} performed for you in this so far? I could imagine a sad situation where you draw a second one. My biggest concern is that this deck doesn't do much until turn 3, and even then it's playing a mana rock of some sort. I don't know what the answer is for that though.

Waaaaaaaaayyyyyy too slow you don't have a play until T3 modern will never be that slow to start

Both of you are correct, the main reason I wanted to post this is to help me make it faster, or for me to be told that no matter what I do I cannot make a planeswalker themed modern deck that has a chance.

Its been good, I'm thinking about taking one out, but I haven't done enough playtesting yet.

No offense but the latter is the truth :( sadly PWs are hard to build around in modern :(

For sure!! It might be playable if you have a few discard spells like {Toughtseize} and {Inquisition of Kozilek} into {Liliana of the Ceil and your curve stops at {Jace Architect of Thought} and either (or both) Sorins

How about some mana ramp with low casting walls as blockers.

Was think more like  {Sylvan Caryatid} Or similar. Maybe a 1 drop too. Base a deck on green and ramping colors

Thats a great idea guys, But if I add green, then it will become a green ramp deck, the liliana idea is cool too, besides the fact that imo its only good in a midrange deck.

{Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver} must see Modern play!

If you're going to do this you need to just do what Superfriends does with all the goodies of Modern. What that means is you need to be more of a control deck. I'd really suggest going tri-color.

Tri color

I'm reading Esper. Which is perfect control colors. Here are some suggestions,

Removal: {Path to Exile}, {Go for the Throat}, {Hero's Downfall}, {Ultimate Price}, {Doom Blade}.

Board wipes: {Supreme Verdict}, {Damnation}, {Wrath of God}.

Counters: {Remand}, {Dissolve}, {Negate}, {Cryptic Command}. {Dissipate} might be good with all the reanimator kicking around.

Other: {Sphinx's Revelation}, {Banishing Light}/{Oblivion Ring}, {Utter End}, I know it costs alot but it's a catch all that you can board out for your more specific answers.

Creatures: {Nyx-Fleece Ram}, {Guard Gomoza}, {Fog Bank}.

I'm actually all excited for this style of deck now. Might try it out soon.
