{Clever Impersonator}: I really like this card. Kudos for running it.

{Pearl Lake Ancient}: Two seems like a good number, how is it working so far?

{Liliana Vess}: How has it been working? Seems really solid.

{Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver}: At least one more, maybe two, meta dependent. It's just such a fantastic card and having another in your hand lets you be more aggressive with the -X.

{Jace, the Living Guildpact}: You only /need/ one. If you ult it and he "suicides" he shuffles back in. Personal preference really.

{Thoughtsieze}: I'd consider {Despise} perhaps? Maybe a 3/2 split? I don't know, it's kinda a bad card late game... Meta dependent. If it has been working for you don't change it up.

{Dig Through Time}: Four? and four {Treasure Cruise}? Can your GY really afford that? I'd maybe run three in some combo of them and swap to {Weave Fate} and {Jace's Ingenuity}. Some people prefer {Divination} over {Weave Fate} but I like the instant speed for +{1}. We'll re-address that later.

{Treasure Cruise}: See above.

{Hero's Downfall}: This is your /only/ hard removal. You need more. {Drown in Sorrow} and the new board wipe from Fate Reforged. {Murderous Cut} perhaps, but with all the TC and DTT you have atm you need to lower the numbers.

{Divination}: 12 card draw spells is too much. You need to cut some for hard removal and maybe more counters. I'd seriously consider {Weave Fate} and {Jace's Ingenuity}.

{Dissolve}: 8 counters all at 3 cmc...eh... {Disdainful Stroke}, {Negate} and {Nullify} are all solid playable cards ATM.

{Dissipate}: See above.

You have no sideboard. I'd be looking at {Drown in Sorrow} vs aggro. {Perilous Vault} for general threat hate. {Tormod's Crypt} if reanimator is common. The black wipe from FTF as mentioned. {Bile Blight} is nice vs Jeskai Tokens and Elspeths. Mardu tokens is /going/ to be a thing. {Bile Blight} makes them cry too. {Wall of Frost} might be worth considering.

{pearl lake ancient} is easily outclassed by {silumgar the drifting death}. {clever impersonator} isn't great game 1 (or 2), id suggest {jeskai sage}. Jace really doesn't have enough of an impact to be good. In this format, two life is too much to be paying for an effect like tseize. {dissipate} isn't really needed. This is the current list I'm running with;

Lands

4 x Dismal Backwater
1 x Radiant Fountain
1 x Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
4 x Polluted Delta
4 x Temple of Deceit
1 x Bloodstained Mire
1 x Flooded Strand
1 x Evolving Wilds
6 x Island
5 x Swamp

Creatures

2 x Silimgar, the Drifting Death
2 x Jeskai Sage

Noncreature Spells

3 x Bile Blight
4 x Hero's Downfall
4 x Dissolve
2 x Disdainful Stroke
4 x Crux of Fate
4 x Dig Through Time
1 x Perilous Vault
3 x Jace's Ingenuity
2 x Murderous Cut
1 x Negate

{Dissipate} is very good vs reanimator. I have to agree that {Silumgar, the Drifting Death} is a better win con. I wouldn't say "easily outclassed". Is two life really that big of a deal? I've been on a modern kick so I'm a bit behind in how standard is atm.

I run Prognostic Sphinx in the board, against control mirror.

With this kind of deck, where you only have 5 lands that can gain you life and no rev, yes. 2 life is a big deal. You want to keep as much life as you can without wasting resources, and despise will get you the things that matter most.

True, I was always running Esper control with {Nyx-Fleece Ram}.
