Title: Double checking
Post by: Jcollinzz on January 10, 2015, 10:21:20 PM
If I play {ensoul artifact} on {darksteel citadel} and someone plays a card to return creature to my hand.  What exactly happens?  Do I return my darksteel to my hand and ensoul goes to the grave right?  If I don't counter it of course.

Correct! When a creature leaves the battlefield, anything attached to it gets checks, and if it's illegal, it goes to the graveyard (aura), or equipment, or bestow stuff does its thing, etc...

Also if I played {end hostilities} while ensoul artifact was equipped to dark steel citadel  then the darksteel citadel would lose ensoul artifact and return back to a land basically right?  Where its indistructable it wouldn't destroy it after all

Ensoul artifact doesn't remove the artifacts ability so it does stay indestructible. That's a pretty awesome turn two! Indestructable 5/5. Man...
