So, I'm trying to do the "Stormtide Whip" combo in standard. Is there a way to actually do it in a competitive environment w/o {Thoughtseize}?
You should explain your combo then we can decide the deck
I think he's trying to discard {Stormtide Leviathan} and bring it back with {Whip of Erebos}.

You could also pull the old don't play a land turn one and discard it. Not sure how competitive any of that is though.
Tbh and trying to save you time (and money :P) no it is not even you play Stormtide every deck (aside from monoR) can deal with it. It's not Hexproof and the dies to doom blade argument should never hold you back but in this case it probably should it's just too slow IMO :(
(BUT PLEASE IF YOU WANT PROVE ME WRONG :D I would love it it if was competitive!!!)
