Title: Rotten Eggs (legacy second breakfast)
Post by: Cataback on January 08, 2015, 01:04:50 PM
This is the legacy version of Stanislav Cifka's second breakfast, which won pro tour RTR. This deck is very similar, with some changes for legacy. Added archaeological digs to replace fetch lands and hallowed fountain. Replaced elsewhere flask with skycloud egg. Replaced silence with energy field. If you have any suggestions, feel free to reply.

I feel like a well timed {Force of Will} could be very bad for you. But I don't know legacy or this deck very well...

Yea counters of that sort can be very bad for this deck. If you are facing a counter-heavy deck, bring silence in from your sideboard.

I am considering that especially because I have quite a few blue cantrips. But at the very least, I need 4 silences in sideboard

Why energy field?
I put energy field up against aggro decks, and silence against counters, just to stall the game and be able to pull off the combo

I actually prefer sleight of hand but its a matter of personal preference. One is not strictly better than the other.

Although not STRICTLY better Ponder is significantly better. It allows you to dig 3 cards instead of 2 and if you don't like them then you can shuffle. So idk I agree with Ponder>SoH

You're right. The 1 extra dig can really help. I'll add it to the list.
