I'm about 99% sure we don't have school either. They are calling for 7-14 inches tonight, and windchill averages in the -20s.

We're supposed to have really low windchill temperatures, but I actually would like to go to school.... I have a robot to build in time for this weekend.

Wait, they cancel school for -20?

Between that and almost a foot of snow falling, yes. At least here in WNY. As it turns out though, we didn't get that much snow, so we still have school... :/

That's insane, you expect children to watch to school when it is -45?

Okay, now we are supposed to get 3 inches/hour, 2-3 feet between now and Sunday, and gusts of up to 45 mph, fingers crossed.

That's the dumpy part of growing up.  My job doesn't care in the slightest bit that it's cold out, I still have to show up.  Enjoy snow days/windchill days to the fullest, students!

Right? I literally have to work graveyard when it snows, especially in a blizzard, because I do snow removal in tandem plows.

Where do you live? I have had my work close before, and when I lived in NC, the whole state closed everything down once.

I live in northwestern Indiana.  We've got wind chills dipping to -20-ish and schools everywhere are closed, but I don't get a day off work unless the highway is closed and they issue a travel warning, or whatever it's called.

ID: I couldn't imagine doing the plowing right now.  It's too cold for that haha

No school! No one told me so I am doing my physics homework last minute and my Mom is like, "you know there is no school, right?" Luckily, my mom was going to give me a ride this morning, or else I would have already been walking to school.
