Scenario: let's say I was to bring out a plainswalker to the battlefield. Once it resolve and I activate one of its abilities, in response of casting the ability my opponent uses heroes downfall. Let's say the ability was to get to 2 1/1 soldiers. My question is: Does the ability still resolves?
Yes. You added the ability to the stack - the walker dying doesn't remove it from the stack.
