Title: They don't make games like this anymore
Post by: rarehuntertay on January 03, 2015, 10:37:55 AM
Unpacking from move, and I'm just washing boxes of clothes (since they were in storage 2-3 weeks). I'm changing one load and noticed that my GBA copy of Super Mario Bros had gotten ran through the cycle. I'm thinking great, now it's ruined. Well, today I pop it into my Nintendo DS and it works perfectly! Tells you about the quality of old Nintendo products...

Ahh, the good old days... One time I had a 007 n64 game that was in my pocket (don't ask) and it went through the washer. The whole sticker/label thing came off, but the game still worked perfectly :P

Dust and grease got the better of my SNES :'(. Turns out they are not indestructible after all. Rest in piece Starfox

Don't know if anyone ever heard this urban legend back ps1 days. If your disk was scratched or didn't work it's an easy fix. You put it in the toilet upside down and flush.

I had a set of GBA games in my pockets which i set aside doing chores outside (of course I forgot them.) went back in. It rained all through the night. Heavily. And was exceptionally cold the next day when I found them, aside from slight smudging on the labels. The games still work fine. And i still replay them now and again. They were {Golden Sun} {Megaman Zero 3} {Yu-Gi-Oh! 7 Trials to Glory} {Castlevania: Circle of the Moon} {Scourge: Hive} and {Tak and the power of JuJu}
The only noticeable issue I've noticed which anything is Castlevania will sometimes have all the file names unlocked or sometimes none of them will be but if you use them for example Fireball for Magician it still works regardless of it saying it'll work or not.
P.S. that game was near impossible. Dracula was the biggest load of crap. Like shoulder checking plessy from Monster Hunter level BS.

Anyways yeah Nintendo makes the best things. Nintendium forever ^-^

That used to work with audio CDs also. I did that a few times.

Did anyone else click all the linked games to see what cards they would link to?

Any way... I played scourge: hive once or twice on my friends copy of it. Wasn't my favorite, but I appreciate it :P

It was certainly interesting between RPG leveling your weapons and managing how many of a weapon you can use at a time before your blasters wear out and some of the puzzles were actually rather intricate. Story was kinda generic and seemed way too similar to {Metroid: Fusion} which was also an amazing game. But I digress. Game was still fun. Even if I backtracked 90,000 times to level up so I didn't have to deal with any crap later on

I may need to fix my copy of Legend of Dragoon ._.
You can borrow mine, I love LoD!
I've got the original and downloaded it onto my PS Vita :3

Also, since you own it and a playstation, it wouldn't be illegal to download an iso and play on an emulator. 😁
