I am not sure how bestow or an aura spell works. Most importantly when can I cast night howler as a creature or attach him to a creature? Is the rule different if he is currently on the battlefield as a creature and I attach him to another creature.

You can only cast a bestow creature as an aura if you are paying the bestow cost and are casting it as a new permanent, like from your hand.

702.102a (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=702.102a) gives the specifics but what you need to know:
1. When casting the card, you can choose from one of two options: either cast it as a creature, and pay its normal mana cost, or cast it for its bestow cost, enchanting a creature with it as if it were an aura.
2. If you bestow the enchantment creature onto another creature, and that creature would be removed in response, the bestowed creature resolves instead as if you cast it in creature mode.
3. If you bestow onto another creature, and that creature dies (targeted removal, board wipe, etc.) the bestowed creature, falls off onto the battlefield as a creature.
Let me know if you need any clarification on those points! :)
Thank you for the clarification in #3. I've been like 10% unsure about that, but I've convinced everyone I play with that that's how it works, So I'm glad I wasn't cheating
Thank you.
