I'd look at {Ajani's Pridesmate} over either of those options. Potential to be a 3/3 the turn it comes down and a threat that needs to be answered even in the late game. You already have the life gain synergy. Plus it's rather inexpensive.

This deck isn't a life deck, i think that {Ajani's Pridesmate} have more options in other decks, but is a interesant option if the sideboard contains  {Soul's Attendant},  {Soul's Attendant} or others cards for gain life
