Hey all, if I have {Warstorm Surge} on the battlefield I was wondering about two cases:
1.). If I attacked my opponent to activate {Vampire Outcasts} ability could I choose to do 4 damage for bloodthirst or is it just 2 damage?
2.). If I have {Cemetery Reaper} out and a 2/2 zombie token comes onto the battlefield can I choose to do 3 damage because since it gains +1/+1 from the reaper or is it still just 2 damage?
1) Bloodthrist counters get put on AS it enters the battlefield. Warstorm triggers AFTER. So if you already dealt damage to your opponent, it will enter with the counters and deal 4 damage.

1. Ok so to trigger bloodthirst you need to have already done damage to your opponent when you cast {vampire outcasts} it then enters with 2 counters (each representing +1/+1) to the vampire making it a 4/4 with lifelink.
When you attack with it, you do 4 damage and gain 4 life.
2. With the {cemetery reaper} when he creates a token, it is a 2/2. Now because he has a buff ability that is always active (static), he makes all other zombies +1/+1 stronger. Keeping in mind this is not a counter like with the vampire in example 1, it is just something that is true.
When you attack with the token it will be as though it is a 3/3.
So in short:
1: 4
2: 3
Hope that helps. :)
2) Zombies will get +1/+1 as they enter, so it will deal 3 from Warstorm.
By the by, if you do get out a blood thirsted {Vampire Outcasts} with {Warstorm Surge} out, you'll gain 4 life when the ability of surge goes off. Super sweet.

I believe your right because lifelink says "whenever this creature deals damage..." and the storm says, " It deals damage equal to its power..." So i think so. Because if it did not come from the creature it would say "warstorm surge deals damage equal to that creatures toughness..." much similar to what {Curse of Bloodletting} says. Btw, {Curse of Bloodletting} + {Warstorm Surge} = 😰😱ðŸ˜ðŸ˜²
