Last month my area (Western New York) got hammered with the worst blizzard since the blizzard of 1977, and now we are getting hammered again. Can winter end already? Is this bad in the rest of the Murica?
Edit: Oh joy, we are looking at another 4-6 inches tonight...

It's 64 degrees right now where I live. Unusually warm winter.
It was 40 degrees Monday (unusually warm for winter here)
Am I the only one here that likes snow? It means more skiing and ice climbing.

The worst part is that winter hasn't even started yet. Solstice isn't until the 21st. Better buckle in, the season isn't about to change any time soon.
You guys in NY have been getting hammered super hard, though. That stuff in Buffalo a few weeks back was crazy. Here in the Midwest, it's cold and dreary, and there has been a good amount of rain and snow, but nothing compared to what we saw you getting there.

I like snow for two days. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Skiing and ice climbing are games for nintendo I can play. I can deal with the snow or the cold but the combo of both sucks.

Gorzo, I'm near Chicago, where are you? It's been pretty cold, but we really haven't had that much snow.

How close to chicago?
I'm in Ohio, just outside of Columbus. I still get a bit of Lake effect weather from Eerie and Michigan, even this far south.
I'm in /Canada/ and the snow is /melting/. Chinook... Anyways, I love me some snow, I just don't' like wind too much.

I ski, and I normally am fine with snow, but here it has been a huge pain in the ass lately because of how schizophrenic the weather has been. It is either 40 degrees with nothing on the ground, or 10 degrees and a blizzard.

Like 20 min away close.
I'm sorry about the weather, and I hope it warms up there. However I hope it stays relatively cold here. I love the winter weather in comparison to 100 degree 80% humidity summers ðŸ˜
Yeah the weather is bad up here. The blizzard the other week actually stopped mail for 4 days

Lol!
Well, since Illinois and Ohio have given input, I'll chip in for Indiana. We've had about two days of snow and the rest of the time has been rain with like 35-40 degree temperatures. Since I don't have a garage to put my car in, nature decides to get just cold enough to thoroughly ice my windshields in the morning. Every single morning.
I saw what was going on in NY, though. That's ridiculous! Sorry, but I hope you keep it on your side of the country haha
I can't really say much for the weather here. It was 40 in September, warmed up to 70s or so in October, snowed in November, and is now around 50. Last year we had snow in May and the day ended up being 80 that afternoon.
Missouri has weird weather.

Just went out and about in shorts and a light jacket. It was great getting weird looks from people wearing heavy winter clothes. Louisianians flip out when it's just a teeny bit cold. 70 is not that cold, freaks.
Although I do like snow, I would prefer 70s to the in-between snow-slush we have right now...

And 4" in my city on the road cancels school for 2 days. :D
For real. Where I live if you drop a cup of ice on the road school's canceled for a week and it's the biggest thing on the news. It's ridiculous to me because I come from New York so going from snow all the time to a place where icy rain cancels school is hilarious to me.

Lol, I was born and now live in Western New York, but I lived in North Carolina for two years and I can attest to the ridiculousness. One day it snowed half an inch and literally the whole state was closed down. Meanwhile, I'm sitting at the bus stop for an hour waiting for the bus.
Here in California, we've been in a drought for 3 years. So no we have a pretty good sized storm, and it has the official hashtag #stormpocalypse2014. School was canceled for 1-2 days depending on which area of NorCal you live in. 2 for me!

It isn't even that cold here in Manitoba either, c'mon bring on the -40 and wind chill, perfect weather for a slurpee

It's been doing that in Ohio this year, too. My poor sinuses are a total mess from all the up and down, as if my chronic migraine condition wasn't irritating enough lol. I've gotten more nosebleeds the last 3 months from sinus pressure than I've had in the last decade or so, and dear lordy, the headaches...
As much as I don't want it, I'd rather have a consistent winter cold than the flip-flopping of the last few months that has been tearing the inside of my head apart :P
