Title: Should I get my cards signed?
Post by: Thetrufflehunter on December 10, 2014, 08:39:26 PM
I will be at GP San Jose this winter, and I was looking at the artists who will be there. Should I get cards signed by them? I am definitely getting my mat(s) signed by them. What about card alters?

So far there is:
Kieran Yanner
Christopher Rush
Steve Argyle

I'm thinking maybe get a playset of DRS signed by argyle? Also let me know if you'll be at the GP!

Artist signed cards are always good, anyone else I'm told lowers the price. However if you have a favorite pro player that you see I'd get them to sign something.

Have them sign the cards but only in metallic silver or gold

There are exceptions. Some richard Garfield signed cards are worth more than unsigned.

Get 'me signed! Even if it doesnt add some value, it makes it more unique. But beware, Moneekah and I got two of our Lillys altered by Argyle and it took hours. He signs cards while the cards he's altering dry. I ran around like a madman getting all my cards signed at GPLA

Sadly, no :( it's very far north, although I have family up there. GPLA was a lot closer for us. Also, don't forget to bring single 1$'s (lol) for the artists! They were all nice and appreciative. Some might have limits for the ammount they'll sign or alter at one time. Steve was specific up to 12 sigs and 2 alters per time in line. Saw crazy fans get right back in line lol
