Hey guys, I want to know your opinions on the most broken cards for the commander format. They can be banned or unbanned doesn't matter! Which cards are the most OP or broken in EDH?
Hmm for creatures I'd say {Prophet of Kruphix}. Whenever I play it, the card basically reads: take 3 extra turns. For 5 mana, that's insane.
^^ that
And in that vain {Kaalia of the Vast}
And we can't forget {Sol Ring}
{Bribery} is quite insane
{mind over matter}, I love a first turn {serra ascendent}. {Isochron sceptre} are the first 3 I can think of
{Cyclonic Rify} completely uproots a game when it is cast, and {Deadeye Navigator} is too often abused.
Prbably gonna go with the following in order
from most to least:
Creatures:
1. Deadeye (can easily go infinite and doesn't die without a wrath or edict)
2. Prophet (Sure, it dies, but so did sylvan primordial and primeval Titan, they were super busted and it's hard to argue that)
3. Derevi (Sorry Chris, she just is too easily abusable, and being pseudo unkillable makes her scarier)
Artifacts:
1. Sol ring/Mana crypt for obvious reasons
2. Skull clamp
Enchantments:
1. Doubling season, that damn thing makes crazy amounts of advantage plus it just has super synergy with planes walkers.
I have found {Storm Herd} to be pretty insane in the right deck.
The only truly broken cards in EDH I feel are the cards that break color pie. {Chaos Warp}, {Song of the Dryads}, {Riftsweeper}, {Pull from Eternity} and more Eternal cards like {Red Elemental Blast} and {Sword to Plowshares}. Not because they're advertly powerful, but because they remove color restrictions and allow colors to do things they don't normally do, or outright cannot do unless splashing another color.
Magic is a better game if the color pie is full of checks and balances, and no one color can do everything. It doesn't seem like it, especially when building a powerful deck, but having 'the best' deck makes everything worse.

i used that in my {vish kal blood arbitor} deck and frequently got 80+ tokens which i then would sac to vish kal and combo him up to 500+/500+ in most games
{Omniscience}: When's the last time that hit the table without somebody complaining?

But it's hard to hit that much mana unless you cheat it in...
Also curious what deck runs this?!
All blue decks

Not in EDH it's not.
Lots of blue decks run {Omniscience}. I'm pretty sure it's an auto include in {Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind} and {Narset, Enlightened Master} decks. Free spells are amazing, especially with cards like {Enter the Infinite} and {Taimyo, the Moon Sage}'s emblem.

The only cards I feel are OP or broken in EDH are ones that were built with 20 life in mind but are now introduced into an environment with 40 life. For instance, {Sorin Markov} and {Magister Sphinx} essentially eliminate people from the game in a way that is insanely mana efficient (repeated blinking of Magister Sphinx is one of the most rage inducing things I've ever seen since it's abusing what is already a 4 to 1 plus damage to mana ratio). Other cards are not quite as obnoxious ({Serra Ascendant} and {Divinity of Pride} are annoying, but beatable, cheating in a {Felidar Sovereign} in the early stages of the game makes the whole thing feel pointless), but still give you insane bang for your buck. And then there's infect. Why the .love. don't they just make infect 15 damage in EDH? I've seen waaay to many people get killed by Rafiq into Putrefax gg. It's ridiculous, and one of the worst parts of EDH.
You've addressed two of my biggest issues with EDH in one post.
