Title: End hostility
Post by: Rass on November 28, 2014, 08:37:28 PM
{End Hostilities}  Can creatures that are destroyed be regenerated?

If so any ruling would be great thanks.

Never mind

701.6c (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=701.6c): A regeneration effect replaces a destruction event. See rule 701.12, "Regenerate." 701.7. Discard

yes. thats what regenration does in fact.

"The next time this permanent would be destroyed this turn, it isn't. Instead tap it, remove all damage from it, and remove it from combat."

thats why certain boardwipes like {damnation} prevent regen.

Thanks. I thought that "can't be regenerated" was part of the definition of destroy. I only remember using Terror back in the day

its part of "buried" which is what {terror} used to say on the revised edition.
