Title: Brave the Sands
Post by: Ulyses317 on November 26, 2014, 04:50:55 PM
if an opponent attacks with one creature and targets one of my creatures, does "Brave the Sands" allow me to block attacking creature twice?  Additionally, I also have "Archetype of Courage" that gives me first strike. My opponents creature has 4/5 my creature has 2/3. Would my creature survive?

1) What is targeting your creature?
2) no you can't block a single attacking creature twice with 1 creature in 1 combat.
3) first strike will not save your creature. The 4/5 will kill the 2/3 in combat if nothing else happens

if on the first question you are implying that your opponent chose to at your creature, she/he cant do that. they are only allowed to attack you or a planeswalker you control. you then decide to block or not and which creature blocks what.

with {Brave the Sands}, it means that if your opponent attacked you or a planeswalker you control with 2 different critters you could use the brave the sandsed creature to block both.

your 2/3 first strike creature would kill the opponents creature if it had toughness of 2 or less, so if it was a 4/2 for example. since its a 4/5 it survives your 2 first strike damage and then deals 4 damage to yours, killing it.
