Can {Pearl Lake Ancient} Block two creatures? The scenario I just thought of is Pearl lake blocks creature A, can I then during declare blockers activate Pearl lakes return three lands ability, put in my had then flash it back to block an additional creature?
Thing is you can only use the ability (and play instants) when you have priority, this happens after attackers are declared and after blockers are declared. So you can't use it while you declare blockers. You can use it to chump-block something big, then in response return it to hand to save it.

All blockers are declared simultaneously, so you can't block, bounce, cast, and block again. Once you begin blocking, you can not use any spells or abilities between declaration of blockers.
