Title: sacrifice
Post by: imFourth of Phils on November 15, 2014, 10:31:53 AM
Darreti [red commander2014] PW 2nd ability: -2 "Sacrifice an artifact. If you do,return target artifact card from your graveyard to the battlefield."
Question:
Can I return the artifact that I sacrificed with it? Thanks in advance

Nope.  Targets are declared before the ability resolves.  With Daretti, unlike {Trash for Treasure}, you sacrifice the artifact on resolution.  This means that if someone eats your target with something like Scavenging Ooze, you don't have to sacrifice since the ability fizzles.
Also keep in mind that Trash for Treasure also can't target what you sacrifice, since targets are declared before costs are paid.
