Title: Fiendslayer paladin vs Mirran crusader
Post by: Aladormax on November 10, 2014, 08:54:25 AM
In modern which is better? I currently want 4 of a three drop in my deck, but have no idea which is the best in this format. I do not have access to 4x geist of traft

Cards for reference  {Fiendslayer Paladin}  {Mirran Crusader}

¿Por que no las dos?

Both are great, and one being better than the other depends almost entirely on what deck your opponent is playing - I recommend both! If not both in the main board, have one main and the other in the side board.

Mirran because goyf.
Seriously. And most of the good spot removal in the format is black.

Crusader is generally better as an overall mtg card, but if lightning bolts are running rampant in your meta, paladin might be the way to go

Paladin has better protection. Says no to {Lightning Helix}, {Lighting Bolt}, {Abrupt Decay}, {Maelstrom Pulse}, and any black removal. Crusader is pro black too, but bolt is one of the most played cards in a lot of formats. That being said, I like Crusader more. Double strike is awesome and being able to take down/ chump block a huge goyf is relevant.
