So on imtg (the original one) I bought all the in-app purchases which made it say boss under my username, but more importantly I got all the perks. Now I'm on imtg 2 and if I try to restore purchases it just says the store can't be reached. If I view my posts on the original app it says boss, but if I view it on imtg 2 it just says user. Has anyone else had this problem? I'd like to have all the perks I bought on the second version of the app.

iMtG II is not really a second version of the app, it is version 5.4 and based on Apple SDK 7 while iMtG is version 4.6 based on SDK 6. In any case as Taysby noted these are two separate apps.
Main difference apart from already mentioned, is that iMtG II will get more modules in the future, while iMtG will not. Both are supported with Database Upgrades.
