That set symbol is really awesome. Time for some awesome Simic reprints like {Trigon Predator} and {Voidslime}!
I was just going to post this. Those are the two walkers I want in foil.
Man, I want that Voidlsime something fierce!
I bet the Elspeth deck is full of exiles and pacifiers.
That symbol IS awesome. It's early days yet, but I'd go as far as to say my fav so far. It's very Mauri!

What kinda story are they doing for this? Makes no sense and story is my favorite part of the game.
I'm highly surprised it wasn't Elspeth v. Xenagos, but then again that was all of Theros block.
There's almost no point to this VS deck. Looks to me as if WotC are grasping at straws.
I think they may rate it on the colours versus each other rather than solely the flavour. Look at Sorrin vs Tibalt, or Venser vs Koth, especially V vs K. A much better pairing if just flavour would have been Venser vs Tezzeret for that set, but {U} vs {U} wouldn't have been awesome.

I was informed that Kiora and Elspeth did scrap. Their differences were resolved as they assisted each other eventually.

Basically they write a random fight between them so they can have a duel deck...

Yeah, Elspeth was trying to get to the edge of the world to talk to Kruphix and figure out how to get to Nyx, but Kiora kind of tricked them somehow.
I think I'm going to have to buy a copy. Or two or three or four. I mean Elspeth and Kiora are pretty pricey and I wish playsets of both. Think it'll stay at MSRP? (Or whatever the abbreviation is.)

Both of those are primarily standard playable planeswalkers. Elspeth is probably good in EDH and definitely fun in casual. Kiora is fun in casual.
Neither are good in competitive eternal formats.
Long story short.....they will drop in price after rotation and now they will drop even more due to this reprint.

My main reason for wanting Elspeth is my Not Nasty Narset deck in which she'd be very helpful in keeping me alive. I'm also working on a casual control deck so she'd be nice there as well. As for Kiora I don't have immediate plans but she's a decent Planeswalker so I must have it.
Kiora is badass. I love playing with her, if you can protect her, her land/draw is just as nice as her fog.

A control based token deck would be a great experience to create.

I bought a box of BNG, and the foil Kiora I pulled was what stopped me from going back for a refund. Then Wizards did this. The first world problems are piling up.
Yeah for those of us kiora lovers, well there went her rareness due to BNG not being opened much

This looks awesome!!! Pardon my noobishness, but can you use Planeswalkers from dueling decks in Standard? Elspeth is my favorite but none of her existing editions or whatever are legal :P

Deck list isn't exciting but I'll probably pick it up. Elspeth has a good base for a soldier tribal. And Kiora has some of the good beefy ramp targets.

I guess if you've been needing a mother of runes and accumulated knowledge its nice, but the decks just seem boring, rush with tokens before whelming wave?
