Title: Essence of the Wild
Post by: Bernardcs on April 14, 2012, 07:49:27 AM
I have {essence of the wild} on the table and make some tokens with {lingering souls}, for instance.

A {ratchet bomb} with no counters would destroy my copies of essence?

Copiable characteristics include mana cost. The {Ratchet Bomb} will need 6 counters to kill all your copies.

Oh, if only the mana costs were less. Then I could play a deck with {essence of the wild} and {army of the damned}... *sigh*

It's actually not that bad if the rest of your deck is mana-dorks. You use them to ramp, then when the Essense hits, they all get cast as 6/6 for G. Splash whir for some of the new {Flicker} effects.

Ah, right! Get some {llanowar elves} and {birds of paradise}, and whatever you have leftover comes in as 6/6es, not bad!
