Anybody else sad that 6 out of the top 8 is Delver decks? Don't get me wrong congrats to them and the deck is an amazing deck but in a format with a huge variety it'd be nice if the Top 8 was more diverse :(
Also who else is pumped that {Helm of Obedience} Top 8ed!!! Lol Go that guy!! :D
Think a ban might be in order?

Idk where lists can be found
Legacy has {Ponder}, {Brainstorm} and {Preordain} legal. UR Delver never really ran out of gas, it just has another card now. I don't see what a ban would do really.
The meta is just going to adjust. Many Miracle decks are actually playing {Pyroblast}s and {Red Elemental Blast}s in the mainboard now, and it seems to me (anecdotal, no real facts to back it up) that Painter decks are becoming more popular because they regularly play 3-4 {Pyroblast}s and {Red Elemental Blast}s in the mainboard, giving them an okay matchup.
Slogged through 7 rounds, dropped because round 8 started around 8, and I wanted food more than grinding 3 rounds to maybe get my entry back. Two LGS players in top 8 is sweet though, and a sprinkling around the top 16/32 as well.
I do not think that cruise is staying in Legacy for long, and people comparing it to ponder/Preordain must not have played against the Delver decks that are cruising. Spoiler: they run ponder too. It breaks the fair matchups: you either play it or you get blown away when they start chaining them.
Full disclosure: I did not play Cruise
What did you run?

Miracles
Cool I'm actually really surprised to see that Miracles didn't Top 8 :( I always viewed it as one of the top decks in Legacy with very consistent Top 8s

The point is, people's logic is mainly everyone is playing it within 2 months of it being spoiled so it's broken.
Really in that deck, it's a {ancestral vision}. It happens at around the same turn. Only difference is you can play it near the end game if you draw it. It is good, but people are overreacting.
It is nothing like Vision, it can be played in so many more decks, because the requirements to use it are simple: play spells
{Hymn to Tourach} is actively bad now, because it fuels your opponent's cruise.
It's the best topdeck when you and your opponent are in topdeck mode. It allows for aggressive forces in the early game, and there's little punishment, because you just get those cards back when you cruise.

Looking at the standings, there are at least two that I know in the top 16 (12th and 14th)

Also makes Lili really bad...
As does {Young Pyromancer}
Dat {Nihil Spellbomb} tho
There's all sorts of stuff to deal with {Treasure Cruise}. {Tormod's Crypt}, that anybody can run, ect. The new {Disdainful Stroke} works too. That's not to say it's bad, cause it's freaking awesome. That's to say it's something that can be dealt with. It's magic, there's always an answer.

...Those are terrible answers for {Treasure Cruise}.
I think he's talking about standard
I think UR Delver did so well because so many people played it. It's a probability thing. Everyone jammed {Taylor Swiftspear} and {Treasure Cruise} in place of {Stoneforge Mystic} and Sword package. I don't know if it will stay like this forever. Unfair decks might just pop back up. Also, graveyard hate could be a thing against them.
Just {memory lapse} and then, while they smile and think about casting again next turn, {millstone}
To the surprise of nobody UR Delver won!
Congrats to that guy bc winning eternal weekend is awesome!!!

Kevin [something] was his name.
How did he shuffle???!
I feel like a storm/combo resurgence could {Stifle} the Cruise Delver train.
