Is {Embodiment of spring} a thing in standard?
Could that be good in anything?
Embodiment is a great limited card one of the best in the set. But as far as std goes Just no
It's good for cubes or slow casual "fun" multiplayer decks.

Actually if you run red it could be a thing, since you can sac it and anger of the gods
That card is terrible even in limited. It effects the board state in no way and it is terrible at mana fixing. If I cast it for blue...I still have to hit a forest to use its sac ability???? No thanks
One of the best limited cards???? Please explain your reasoning Mattao

Well, it is a good T1 wall, and it can find you a third or fourth color by T2
Good T1......I'd say marginally. How about T6 or how good is it when you need green mana or blue for that matter?
A {U}\{1}{G} {rampant growth} is just not good and neither is a 0/3 wall.......{sylvan carytid} is the exception I suppose ;)
Should have specified common lol it's a great COMMON mana ramp is great plus it blocks a lot of things!
It's also good bc often in limited especially in this set you go 3-5 colours so this down in an early turn fixes your mana for the rest of the game!
I play a lot of limited as of late. I feel strongly this card is just not great. Limited is mostly about effecting the board state and I don't think this card is worth a slot in a deck because it is a poor blocker on the board and a poor mana ramp card.
The best case scenario for this is T1 and into T2 ramp effect which does not allow you to play a 2cmc spell that turn which means you are potentially losing tempo. 2 turns of spending mana for an extra land is just not what I like to do in limited but maybe that is me
I don't see it as that at all. Ramp in limited is always great especially mana fixing the T1 spring T2 fetch although rare is an amazing play! But I'm a fan of ramping out my morphs and some morphs are very mana intensive so you need the mana and if you don't have fixing it's tough. But unless the opponent has trample it's a great blocker see {Sakura Tribe Elder} obviously not nearly as good as STE but similar indeed :P
I run 18 land in my three color 40 card decks lately. I try to find 3 duals or one of the tri lands and then just run 5 of each basic. Rarely do I get mana screwed in this block using that strategy. Thursday I ran sultai which is a good deck for this guy IMO and there is still no way I would use him.
It is such a terrible card outside T1 and I still just don't think it's need T1 unless you are running 5 color I suppose. I just can't help but say again that if you can pay {U} and then {G} for the effect......then you are probably doing ok with your mana base.
And STE is infinitely better :P You have to sac both for the effect so I don't see how the trample thing matters unless it's a 2/2 trample :P
I agree with you but I guess it preference :P I think everyone has to run 18 lands in this set lol but being shut off a colour is bad idk I just like the block and sac effects :P
We will agree to disagree and when we sit next to each other.....I will be happy to pass you this guy ;)
I'd take a playset lol

Haha that's just crazy talk. How many would you run in a limited deck?
I have a use for it in standard, but that's just a jank deck that isn't finished yet
