Title: Snowboarding
Post by: Popper23345 on October 22, 2014, 07:33:34 AM
Is one of the reasons why I still live in Wisconsin.
Is one of the reasons why I still live.
Does anyone else sonowboard?
I'm thinking about "volunteering" at Wilmot Mountain (I say volunteering in quotes because I get a prize for working which just so happens to be a season pass:P) so, this is a thread were you can share with us your snow-sport career, talk about the coolest tricks you've seen or done, or talk about the Winter Olympics ( its a major event at my house )

So, to kick this off, I've been snowboarding for about 5 of my 14 years.  I've gone to a total of 3 different mountains (Wilmot Mtn., Cascade Mtn., and Ski Brule). I've gotten pretty good at snowboarding, and this year ima try to perfect my grinds.

Can't wait to see your snowboarding histories, stories or goals! :D

The first time I snowboarded I got the basics down pat. I could turn, I could stop. Then I caught an edge and gave myself a concussion. I landed on my face and the board (feet attached) came up and hit me in the back of the head. That's why I ski... Though if I had the money I'd be snowboarding. I just decided to ski because I was good at it. Now I actually wanna snowboard again but I'm broke so...

My snowboarding career started when my mom bought me a snowboard 5ish years ago on my birthday (in november, so glad i got a winter borthday) I was so psyched that I wanted to go straight to Wilmot that day, and I ended up going. Same as link, I got the basics down, (no concussion) but I was uber scared of the big slopes. after one of my friends went up with me to one of the blue triangles (or however they classify them nowadays) I was able to hone my skills and become the very best...that no one ever was.....to catch...them...
Yeaaaa

Sorry about the /revive/ but I'm gonna get a new snowboard tomorrow as a birthday present from mom, and I was wondering if any of you have preferable snowboard brands that would be good for learning grinds/jumps.
Thanks in advance 🏂😃
