So with more powerful cards to come in reprints. What do you guys think of a {wasteland} reprint? I do not believe it is on the reserve list. On one hand I know it will shake the hell out of modern on the other hand won't modern just become too much like Legacy at that point?
I just don't see it. Maybe in supplemental product. I don't think land destruction is a thing wizards wants anymore. Although it would give a boost to mono colored decks and take the greedy mana bases away.

Land Destruction still a thing, but it isn't as easy

{Desecration Plague}

Possible. Is not on Reserved List did to being Uncommon. Only Rares are on the list. That said, it's possible though highly unlikely.
For Modern they printed {Wasteland}
It's called {Tectonic Edge} and {Ghost Quarter} I'm pretty sure that's about as close as we will see ever for Modern

We know the alternatives. Thank you Mr. Obvious 😜
Wasteland wouldn't turn modern into legacy. I think it would be good for the format, punish the stupid goodstuff decks a little bit.
I don't think it will be reprinted in a modern/standard legal set, most likely just another judge foil if they really want to. Price/supply isn't really a problem with it, so there probably is little need in wotc's mind.

They wouldn't double up on a judge foil. It already has a judge foil printing
{stripmine} in modern?!?!
Yes please
No reserved list = anything is possible!
Most likely during a slump in sales

Lol :P but I mean that somebody from WotC said that these would be the closest we get for wasteland options

Well, slap me around and call me silly then. I stand corrected. Maybe they could then...
They better not, I traded for my playset already ðŸ˜

So most people agree {wasteland} is probably not in the cards for a standard reprint. What about some powerful creatures? Choose one and give a reason why or why not.
{vendilion clique}
{shardless agent}
{mother of runes}
{goblin piledriver}
{dark confidant}

{vendilion clique}-In the right environment, very reasonable
{shardless agent}-Cascade is probably the biggest barrier, they'd have to put cascade in the whole set
{mother of runes}-Likely too powerful
{goblin piledriver}-Probably too powerful, but WoTC could do it as long there weren't any other good goblins in standard
{dark confidant}-Very reasonable, although RB Aggro/Burn might be put over the top in the right environment.
Mother of runes reprinted while jeskai ascendancy is in standard would be horrible I think.. Awesome for those that use it but I can already picture some abuse..
We're not getting goblin pile driver and goblin rabble master in the same standard format, even though that would be hilarious...

I can see Clique back in std that's about it. Unless they do a cascade block/set then Agent can return.
Runes is way too OP for std (even though I really wanna tap dat milf :P lol)
Bob I think is too OP but I might be wrong bc they tried a weaker Bob in {Pain Seer} and that other one from RtR block and neither saw play. So maybe Bob isn't too OP
If pile driver and rabble are in the same std set red would be insane lol so maybe driver sometime post M15
I feel since we just saw MM ; items in that won't be reprinted for at least another 5 years

IDK, I can definitely see {Dark Confidant}, {Tarmogoyf}, {Cryptic Command}, and {Vendilion Clique} all getting reprints soon, simply for price control.

Ya agreed especially Tarmogoyf. Except not with fetches in standard. Cryptic might be too strong for std though

I'm saying in general, not necessarily in standard, but yeah, I agree with your assessment.
