If i have a card that has protection from black and a black and white creature attacks, does it still deal damage if i block?

No. The attacking creature is black, regardless of it's other colors.

Does that count with planeswalkers?

so you have a creature with protection from black, and your opponent has a black and white creature. that creature is black and thus the protection is relevant. if the bland white creature attacks and you block with your pro black creature, the black and white creatures damage will be prevented and your blocking creature will still do damage as normal.

explain your question please. if you mean is protection from black relevant against a planeswalker? it can be. if you have a creature with protection from black, and i try to deal it two damage with the first ability of {sorin markov} i cant because the creature cant be targeted by an ability from a black source.
